The December 2022 JUA KALI NGUVU KAZI FAIR in Kampala:

6 Entrepreneurs from Burundi Join with CEMAC and SPARK

The JUA KALI NGUVU KAZI exhibition fair is the Annual Trade Fair organized by the East African Community by bringing together artisans, micro entrepreneurs, small and medium-sized artisanal enterprises from the East African Community.

The 2022 edition of the fair was held at KOLOLO INDEPENDENCE GROUNDS in UGANDA on December 08 to 18, 2022 under the theme: “Buy East Africa to build East Africa for the resilience and sustainable development”.

The key objective of this trade fair is to boost local production and trade between neighboring countries…

Among the 100 SMEs supported by CEMAC through SPARK’s AKAZI KEZA program, six participated in this fair and travelled together with CEMAC and SPARK to Kampala last December. These were COPEPEKI, COTERU, AYCD, ISHAKA, COJAD and COPACI, working respectively in the sectors of: palm oil, fish, shoe-making and honey.

These entrepreneurs were able to exhibit their products internationally, sell products on display, learn and exchange experiences with other entrepreneurs in the sub-region (EAC).
